Not exactly a response to your question, but I recently published this book which you may find useful. I have previously posted on KSP (very old member!) but I don’t know if my old posts can be retrieved. This book is the result of many years of experience with Third Culture Kids.

Read more about the book at https://tinyurl.com/Rooted-Resilient-Ready, and if you’re interested in getting hold of a copy, email singaporetck@gmail.com to purchase copies (mailed to Singapore addresses only). Only print books are available at present, but there are plans to make ebooks available online sometime in 2025.

If you know of any Singaporean families living overseas with their kids, or families considering going overseas for any reason, please spread the word! Thanks!

Just explain this to the tutor, and that calculators are not allowed.

Even though calculators are not permitted, that's probably to even the playing field for kids who haven't learned to use the calculators, or are unable to get hold of one of the approved models. The level of difficulty of the questions should be similar to PSLE, just with numbers that are easier to compute.

Showing the working is a way for markers to give method marks even if the final answer is wrong because of carelessness etc.

You seem have to posted multiples of the same post - can you delete the others so that answers will be in the same place?

sharonkhoo
