Do you think it is easier to train when you are a home maker? How to train the kids if both parents are working?

      Tree nymph,
I am sahm too. I tried training too. In Primary sch, the kids listen. When go sec school, where got? So much distractions and they have their own definition of revision. The only discipline I managed to instill is linked to mannerism, courtesy, hygiene. None on academic. Not bad la. :imanangel:

SAHM or FTWM, by they time kids are in Sec sch, they should be managing their own time and studies. Parents cannot always be there handholding them all the way. Of course we cannot be totally hands off but our role should be more of guiding and counselling when they need or when we see there is a need rather than managing it for them.

I think each parent has her own tolerance for the child’s academic failure.

I am bracing myself for the possibility that ah boy might not be promoted to JC2.
I rather let him learn a life lesson "set your priorities right" now.

I do not read posts in School related forums, other than checking into NJC once a while.

Which page in the DSA thread?

i don't think i can accept my daughter repeating sec 2.
as it is, she is already in NA...and there is such a thing as repeat.
for my older one, i let go when he started sec 1 and he managed his time very well.

:snuggles: There are still a few weeks to promo exams. Tell Ah Boy to give his all in the next few weeks. It is better to study like crazy now than enduring another year of studying the same thing again. Jia you, Ah Boy!

                    Hi Jennifer,

LC DC1 has done very well. He got 3 balls landed into his court, up to him to choose which ball he desire :
RI (CO), NJC (Waitlist), another IB (CO)

the chance of NJC (Waitlist), converted into a CO, is very high too
