Most probably 19 to 22 October 2015 from what I see from P6 briefing slides of west grove primary school and endeavor primary school. But I think official dates are not out yet if I am not wrong.

I find this much too "draggy" and the kids "lose steam" halfway.


In addition, their principal has a "weird" belief: she insists that exams has to be after recess breaks so that kiasu parents will not pull kids out of school just to "drill" them for next day exams. Esp for the afternoon session, after the break, the kids are all really tired after more than half-day of school and the boys will go and play during breaks - how to be in top form to perform for the exam? Parents have feedback on this but no change. Give up!

I dun feel the sch is pushing, in fact I feel that they have a lot of free time during the 1st 3/4 of the year. Just that the CA2 is very close to SA2, she just finished her CA2 on 22 Aug and SA2 started on 24th Sept. But I feel that it's good becasue she was still fresh with all the revision for the CAs and we just revised based on past year papers, and the subjects for SAs were well spread out in a week plus.

Normally for full-schools, ie those with secondary section, their hols start earlier becos of the 'O'-levels ! mumwgals, so do the teachers push very hard to finish the syllabus during term time ?

My P3 is having her last SA paper tomorrow, and I was told that the last day of sch was on the 22 Oct. With the PSLE marking day, her sch holiday will actually starts on the 16th Oct, that's another extra week!! ๐Ÿ˜„
