Is Mainstream tuition not quite meeting your SOTA child’s academic needs?

SOTA embraces a unique curriculum combining certain elements of MOE and IB syllabi that ends up making it challenging to teach in a small group tuition setting as it’s not quite O levels, nor IB.

At Big Brain Energy, we offer small group classes capped at 8 students for SOTA students only for Y1, Y2 Science, Y3, Y4 Biology and Chemistry and Y5 Y6 IB Biology SL/HL.

This means we follow the SOTA’s curriculum closely and you don’t have to fret if they are not well prepared for their exams.

SOTA’s science curriculum is very rigorous, and the step up from Y2 to Y3 is sometimes hard for students to manage. There was quite a number of retainees in Y3 this year as well.

Who am I and how am I qualified to teach your child? I was an ex-international school teacher (SAIS, OFS, NPS) and am well trained in the IGCSE and IB curricula. In addition, I have taught many SOTA students, which is why when I set up BBE, I thought it would be a great USP. I currently have quite a few SOTA students enrolled, and if you’re keen, the first lesson is on us.
