<![CDATA[Apply to poly with iGCSE]]>Does anyone know how iGCSE grades are equated with O level grades for applying to poly?

E.g. Would an A at iGCSE be equated with an A1 or A2 at O level, or something else? Similarly, would a B at iGCSE be equated with a B3 or B4 or something else?

Would very much like to know as I have a niece with iGCSE results who intends to apply to poly.

GCSE / IGCSE / GCE (non-Singapore-Cambridge)

Please refer to the individual course pages for the entry requirements. A ‘B’ average overall would be minimally sufficient for candidates to make a competitive application. We only accept English as 1st Language. IGCSE holders from the following local schools are also invited to apply:
• ACS (International)
• Hwa Chong (International)
• SJI International

***Note: IGCSE / GCSE Grades A to C is comparable to GCE ‘O’ levels Grades 1 to 6 and IGCSE / GCSE Grade D is comparable to GCE ‘O’ Grade 7.
For those with new IGCSE / GCSE Grades 9 to 1, Grades 9 to 4 would be comparable to GCE ‘O’ levels Grades 1 to 6 and IGCSE / GCSE Grade 3 is comparable to GCE ‘O’ Grade 7.

Try visiting the relevant Poly websites to find out more (or just call up the Poly’s hotline). I saw there is a Minimum Entry Requirement of X but u know that’s not the Cut Off Point.

Eg for Ngee Ann Poly, it seems iGCSE holders must apply via DAE by 23 January 2025:
