My son graduated from twinkle stars last year. He is coping very well in P1. They over prepare them actually! He was already taught multiplication and division in k2 and a model drawing. They also focus on behaviour, good morals and values. Class size is very small. PM me if u need more info. I am not part of the school but just a happy parent willing to share.

hi all,

my girl attends TSM (Twinkle stars montessori) since Nursery…
She didnt like it when she was in Brighton Montessori so i got my helper to bring her to a few school at parkway area and the min. she went into TSM she was there for whole day…

She loves TSM very much and I like the school too.
I think their curriculum is excellent. Their rules in school, sticker chart are excellent disciplinary measures. My girl is sad whenever she goes to time out chair coz either she spoke too loudly or she said something naughty.

From half day session (half day is either 9am-12pm or 1pm-3pm), she now goes to full day session from 9-3pm Mon-Fri. (they also have 3 day session)

we had to stop her for a while and let her go to My First Skool childcare as we no longer have a helper but she hated to go there…and kept asking to go back to TSM.
We also saw a change for the worse in her behavior and communication skills.
She was bored in MFS hence after discussion, we let her go back to TSM. Since then, she wakes up by herself every morning to get ready for school. that shows how much she loves the school.

She is K2 now and there is chinese spelling and english spelling (with mystery words). SHe loves her teachers very much & i can tell she also behave and speaks better now. All her teachers are very nice and patient.
Teacher ratio count is about 1 teacher to 6-7 children only.
They follow the montessori style but not 100% because they have to include some MOE syllables. Every week, they have to bring home some home work for Maths, Eng & Chinese.

Most parents are very friendly and some of us always speak to each other.
The school also has school holiday program which most of their students take part.

I must say, this school, although may not be seen as "branded", its a very good school… all the kids love the school, even us parents love it too…super friendly but academics wise, i think because the kids are happy, they tend to learn better!

Any latest feedbacks on this sch? And what is the timing and fees r like? Class ratio? Typical type of \"authentic\" montessori?

No, in the end I didnt choose Twinkle Stars as due to my part-time work timing, I needed DS sch to start 8:30am and end at least after 1pm. But I must say Twinkle Stars would be a good montessori presch choice for those who are ok with 3-hr programs. Curriculum seems very structured type.

Actually, before I made the decision on Twinkle STars Montessori, my shortlisted schools were:

- St Hilda Church Kindergarten
- Seeds D learning House
- Dynamic World Montessori
- Twinkle Stars Montessori
(not in any order of preference)

Any feedback on these schools are also welcome, so I can analyse better if I made the right decision!

Hi Absolute_volka,

Can share your experiences at Twinkle Stars Montessori? How are the teachers and the teaching program there? I heard it's 40min Monte Eng, 40mins Monte Maths and 40mins chinese. Did you find that their program benefitted your girl? I intend to send my son there in Sept this yr. He is 3.5yo, active and talkative at home, but quiet in his current conventional school and to strangers. I hope the Montessori program will suit him better with more 1:1 time with the teachers. The problem I have with his current sch is that his teacher really teaches to the mass students and do not really bother to engage my son in the activities. He is the observer sort who needs a lot of time to warm up. Sigh...really hope I made the right decision to put him in Twinkle Stars Monte...

No. I've decided to enrol him for half day kindy at Brains Buttons Kindergarden. I'm now sourcing for enrichment for him... :idea:

I tried searching for any previous feedbacks on TWinkle Star Montessori at Marine Parade but can't find any at this forum.

Any parents with their children or know any other parents with their children in the school? Any positive/neg feeedback?

It is a decent pre-school with very patience and dedicated teachers, which I thought is the most important factor in choosing s school. Send your kids to Twinkle Stars for trial and find out.
