The stress doesn’t have to be " negative" stress - it can be excitement, sensory etc. Grinding is a way for the nervous or sensory system to calm itself down. I got my ds to do visualization, tense and relax especially the jaw and temples, this way he can feel the difference. Otherwise I tabuleh tahan the nightly grinding sound!!</p>

Ask your dentist what you can do about it; some would prescribe a mouth guard to prevent teeth grinding.</p>

It’s made of extremely hard plastic n it clinks in pretty securely so it would be pretty hard for it to come loose in the mouth during sleep. You can get a mould done by a dentist n have one made for you. I’m not sure how old a child must be before he can wear one but I’m getting my 14 yo one soon. If you’re an adult, I’d advise you to get one before you grind your teeth down to the dentine.  A good dentist would notice wear and advise making a splint.</p>
