So here's some background information. I studied in gk since 2009-2011 and i'm now a sec 1 in nygh.
i dont know how much gk has changed since i left, considering the fact that it's been 7 years already, but i must say that gk was an amazing school when i was there. U guys may have heard this a lot, but yes, gk is quite academic-based. However though, gk provides a holistic education for its students. Gk developed me academically, physically and most importantly, it built my character. The teachers there were passionate and devoted. And although they never spoon-fed me, they never failed to lend me a helping hand when i was truly in need of one.
Everyone's experiences in a school is different, and mine in gk was awesome and i would definitely recommend gk to u 🙂

Have 2 sets each, total of 4 sets to sell together.

Still in good condition. (& School is selling at $26/set)
Selling as a set of 4 (inner shorts not available for some) for $50.

PE tee & shorts (have to count) FOC as well worn.

They used to hv the prc to teach chinese, they are no longer as such now. My older girl learnt to speak chinese within a month then, now 8 months passed, my second one stil can’t speak . They employed local who teaches Chinese , with English translation at times.


The school fees wil be increasing again, over the 4 yrs, the fees climbed almost 80%. The class size is smaller now … Perhaps tat contributes to it.

I heard from my friends that the kindy is rather academic inclined to gear the kids for P1. True?

Mrs Chua the principal was very friendly when I popped in to enquired about enrolment dates. She showed me around the simple but vast campus

When u mention there is little interaction btw the Teachers Children & Parents…I wonder is there a Teachers and Parents meet up session at all at the end of each term? My eldest boy Kindergarten provides it and it is really good as we are able to access his performance and recognises his shortcomings. Btw, the reason I’m not putting my 2nd boy in the same school is becoz we had since shifted.

Also, you mentioned that your boy is with Arise Kindergarten…are there lesser homework there since you mention that the pressure academically in Glory is higher?

In fact, I’m considering between Marmount and Glory. Arise came into the picture,since you mention it:) You may wonder the distance in all…hahaaaaaa I’m actually prepared to put my boy on a sc hool bus, as long as he can get into a good school.

I signed up my girl for Glory Kindy eventually in 2008 and she graduated from the school last yr. I feel that the school prepares the children well for P1 curriculum and the work assigned is appropriate. However, there are little interaction with parents.

On the flipside, my boy is with Arise Kindy. I can’t comment his K2 work yet cos he was at Nursery when I placed him there and now at K1 level. If comparing K1 for both schools, Arise seems a lot easier. However, I like it that there are a load of parents-teachers-children interaction involved. Hence, you feel like a part of the school. Also this school is more suited for my boy who is not so academic inclined.

Hence, I tried both schools and my advice is choose one that suits your child best. Hope this is useful.

My son is born in Year 2009 and I’m considering of enrolling him for N1 at Glory Kindergarten next year. I heard that it’s quite a popular school around Bukit Timah. I called up the school and realize that it’s circriculum is 4hrs vs the usual 3 hrs in other kindergartens. Also other then the school fees, there’s a conponent that consist of insurance, materials, speech n drama etc that adds up to $390, that’s a compulsory payment to be paid each term. Which means inclusive of school fees, I’m looking at $1200 each term if I’m going to put my son there next year, from N1 all the way to K 2. Any advise or feed backs from mothers? Is it worthit?
