<![CDATA[How long does your kids' school shoes last?]]>Hi,


Not sure if this is correct place to post. My son(primary one) has been wearing a pair of Bata shoes/week since Jan 2010. Now it is quite worn out with the 'toe' part almost torn out. Besides wearing to school with only 2 PE sessions on 2 days and not much outdoor activities, yet it always looks so torn out and dirty. I look at his school mates. Others seem so clean and 'neat'. Maybe I did not maintain them well besides washing them over weekend? :oops: I bought the 'white shoe' wash but yet to use it.

You have to check with the school’s discipline master. That’s the person who has the say.

Those china type of shoes. Anyway, I don’t buy too expensive shoes coz children always grow out very fast in their school shoes.

We got it from one of the heartland shops in central AMK (near to AMK Hub).

Do you know which block? How much per pair? Heard yishun has too but not sure where is the shop. They selling at $15 and have discount if buy 2.

Thanks Imami. In that case, I'll get 20.0. There is another 4 months before school starts. So, maybe buying one that she fits nicely now is too risky...


Why is there a need to buy 2 pairs? Washing once a week not enough?
But why are you buying now? Can't speak for all the kids but my son grew significantly over the last 12 months. His shoe size, waist and height have obviously grown. Wait till dec can guesstimate better.

Other parents already explain to you why need two pairs. Another reason is wetness. The child may because of wet weather or stepping into puddle, wet the shoes. If the shoes are not dry in time, it would be very uncomfortable to wear wet shoe to school.
