There is no difference between 85 and 99 marks.<br /><br />But in primary school, even if a child gets 99 marks, she may be ranked number 10 ! If my child is not as lucky under exam conditions and do worser than a child whom I know the ability, I am not going to bash my child up simply because I know in reality, she has the ability to do to her next level of ability has she not been unlucky under exam conditions.  But if it is due to an attitude problem, then I would be unhappy with the attitude than the results.  Not-up-to-par result against her usual self is just an indicator of the attitude and there may be some deep-seated issues that I need to be concerned about.<br /><br /><br />I am happy to understand and know the true ability of my child.
