But me being me, I can't help digressing to the next topic. I realised that there are certain phrases I used daily on ds, almost without fail. They're all reprimands (if my boss does that to me, I'm be flatly demoralized ). The 3 phrases I used most commonly to communicate with ds are:

- can you don't talk so much (my way of telling him to zip up)
- late already, can you pls hurry up, usually followed by this action
- this qn is so simple, how come you don't know? (luckily ds is super confident type, so no permanent damage done I think)

So what's your favourite words to your kids? Hope they're not as negative as mine.

Reply to What's your favourite words to your kids? on Fri, 06 Aug 2010 15:03:50 GMT

I use 'non-negotiable' on DS instead of 'no' and it works pretty well for me..

Don't really need say it often nowadays coz he just have to look at me to know the answer..
The good fav word would have to be 'huggy time'.. .DS will run to me and snuggle..

auntieM

Reply to What's your favourite words to your kids? on Fri, 06 Aug 2010 14:23:44 GMT

Gecko:

sleepy:
HURRY UP, MOVE IT MOVE IT

My dd is such a slow snail.
