They complained \"hot\" They would cry or woke up in the middle of the night, took out the diapers, pull up themselves n went ahead to sleep without protection. Actually they were toilet trained by 18mths fr CC in day time . -

Come to night, like some parents said, cut down water in evening. before sleep must wee-wee etc . Then before i slept abt, 1030 - 11pm, i woke them up/ carry them to wee again , i use the old granny method - put a potty in the room . ( my wedding potty somemore, still around for souvenir ....hahhaha)

We put led night light in their room , n walkway to toilet -so not too dark for them . But as kids grow , they hardly need to wee in middle of night

At bet 1 to 6am - no fixed timing, i \"forced\" myself or dh to wake up to go toilet and at the same time , helped them to wee in the potty in the room - this way the disruption of sleep seem to minimized cos kids no need to walk to toilet .

such night mission carried on fr 2 yo to 3 plus then they were completely indept at night. Their biological clock will know , they woke up to wee in the potty if need to.
Next morning, just need to clean potty . If accident happened, kids would get down of the bed n i would find them sleep on the floor next morning.
It was easier to train for dd, coz she monkey see monkey do fr ds . The potty routine continue till they are abt 5+ / 6yo, they walk to toilet to urine if needed in the night.
Now the potty is nicely cleaned ,sitting under my storage bed

MyPillow

Reply to How to train my kid to go toilet at nite? on Fri, 15 Apr 2016 04:18:06 GMT

JS, what a good idea to get them to clean their own mess…
