<![CDATA[Unreasonable people]]>I was at City Square food court for dinner just now. There is a promotion for chendol at just 98 cents...extremely HOT deal today, until the red beans finished.

The staff who served each and every customer asking for chendol told them that red beans were finished and whether they still wanted the chendol.
There was this woman who raised a hoo-hah when she was told that red beans were finished...she demanded the poor thing serving her:
1) Where is your manager ? No manager, then supervisor where ?
2) How can chendol have no red beans ?
3) No red beans here right ? Then take from the hot dessert lah !
4) Your company is listed, how can you do such a thing by not having red beans in chendol ?
5) Close shop for good, pull down your ๆ‹›็‰Œ.

As if it's not enough, her husband supported her. OMG, how can people behave this way, shouting at the poor person serving her for a 98 cents chendol !!! :x :x
Well, the best part is :shock: she still bought the chendol in the end.

This is a probable case of two sides trying to feed off each other
that had gone awry.
Public Affairs (PA) wanted to get a good review or publicity on the cheap.
PA probably was disgusted n saw red when this boy of a Ladyironchef
table of four took advantage to run up a bill in excess of $400
and PA rat on him.
Ladyironchef is a freeloader who tried to browbeat PA with his arrogance
and when he failed, threw his credit card on the table to settle his discounted bill.
Is this the display of a reasonable person when reason prevails?
Obviously not.
When the shit hits the fan, this boy is scurrying for cover with his feeble response.
And it still smells!

In fact , i think he initially expected free meal for all 4 pax but now that this episode has drawn so much flak, with majority slamming him & his questionable character & professionalism, he just have to come out with \"carefully chosen words\" like \"an eye for an eye makes the world go blind\" .... and clarify that when he goes out, he usually pays for his meal ... i take it to mean meals at hawker centre perhaps.

He said \"it was an oversight to assume that no acknowledgement from Melanie (PR) about my 3 accompanying guests would mean that their meals would be on the house too.โ€ If you know or think you are going for a FREE meal, please do not bring so many people along ... afterall, people need to keep the business afloat amidst rising costs / inflation. If indeed it was an invited food tasting, then surely it should have been comp-ed.....
Expecting free food is different from accepting an offer of free food.

To accept an offer is fine, but to expect free food or to demand it is so cheapskate..

Unless the restaurant in it's invitation explicitly state \"You're invited to *Complimentary* lunch/dinner/tasting\", one should not expect free food, let alone to expect free food for guests as well.. and should double confirm and not take for granted that it'll be free for all.

And, if there has been miscalculation on his part with regards to the food pricing (between $xxx and $0), just accepting it and pay up would had been fine rather then to make a fuss and to throw the CC at the poor cashier to express his displeasure..

That certainty says something about his character..
