I need to gather some ideas here of what gifts (souvenirs/food) have you given to your Foreign friends/colleagues as I'm running out of ideas already... best if you could suggest gifts that are liked by Germans and China Chinese. πŸ˜‰

Budget wise... depends on individual or group.. but please flood me with your ideas. :please:

For Germans, good-quality tea or coffee from local brands can be a nice touch too. Risis gifts are great for something more premium.

Personally, I like their cloth with beads jewellery box. It's quite pretty. There is another item I saw few weeks back. Very nice (gosh... I can't recall what is it except that it's nice).

I was in Korea in June and I bought the korean jewellery box. I got it as a gift during my wedding and was really keen to get another when I was there. I bought 2 and gave 1 to her. She loved it so much :love:

I've seen some colleagues giving chopsticks as gift to foreigners. There are some good meanings behind this. But my mum being the superstitious type is against this.... She was like... cannot give chopstick... like giving ur rice bowl away.

actually, i remember receiving chopsticks as wedding favours from one of the hotels many years back...

Yah.... when I was in Shanghai, I wanted to buy a pair of nice chopsticks for my brazilian boss who is going back. My mum was with me and she was like :whut: After hearing her comments, I decided against it as well. πŸ˜‰
