<![CDATA[What my child says/does that touches me...]]>Earlier today I was exercising on my treadmill when DD came into the room and looked at the moving treadmill with curiosity.


Next she put her tiny foot on the treadmill and I immediately told her, "Don’t do it! You may fall down." She quickly withdrew her foot and ran away.

After a few minutes, she peeked into the room at me. "What do you want, Sweetie?? I asked her, still running on my treadmill.

"Be careful, Mummy. Don’t fall down," she said, looking at me with concern in her big eyes.

My heart immediately melted and I turned to her with a smile, "Don’t worry, Mummy will not fall."

And her little concern just brightened up my day.

Wow! That's sooo sweet of her, and it is indeed rare for kids nowadays to write in 繁体字...showed this to my DS and he told me he can't recognized some of the characters as they are not written in the 'simple' form. In any case, his response to this was: \"....but mummy, you always colour your hair once the sides starts to grey, isn't it??...\" :gloomy:

My DD at 16 told me that I am the woman she admires most in the world. Given that teens tend to have difficult relationships with parents and we had gone through a mini bad patch, I was very touched indeed.

once after i finished bathing, DD called out to me to sit down in the living room. i told her mummy needed to comb hair first. she insisted, i gave in.

i was surprised DS & DD start combing my hair for me. i asked them why they were doing it, they say becos mummy always comb hair for them so now its their turn to comb for me.

He seems more interested in mild stuff and is a clean freak. Compared to DD, DS is less kinesthetic and sensitive. These days, DS turning out to be a typical boy, bay blades, army stuff and all. And DH is heaving a huge sigh of relief. But DS still has Mr Sensitive in him.


I was feeling a bit down last night. Went into their rooms to tuck them in. DD was fast asleep oredi. DS was still half awake. I asked him him I can snuggle with him for awhile. Sleepily he nodded his head and scooted over to make space for me. I snuggled down with him and told him I needed a little hug from him. He wrapped my arm around his tiny body and patted it drowsily. And before long, I am listening to his soft even breathing. Feeling much better, I went back to my room.

Early this morning, I woke up to this little boy climbing onto my bed and snuggling down next to me under the duvet. I greeted him good morning and he whispered hi. Asked him if he did not sleep well. He said he slept well. Asked him why is he here. He said to keep you company, to make you feel better. :love:

Made my day.

Later asked him why he put water so he said whenever his eyes are burning I ask him to wash with the water so since he saw something went into my eye and it made me teary he remembered to use water....

It was his own little way of being 'motherly' or showing his concern ...

Yesterday something went into my eye and I was just rubbing my eye so it became little teary... the moment DS1 saw he said mama why are you crying and he looked very concerned... so I said no darling I am not crying just something went into my eye.. so he ran somewhere... i got surprised where did he go :?


Suddenly he came back running with some water in his hand i was still surprised wat is he upto..then he put the water inside my eye and then rubbed gently then he said dont worry it will be alright :love: :love: :love:

Me: You sure you will still hug and kiss me when my hair turns all white and my skin all wrinkly?

DS: (He's speechless at how thoughtless my words can be) and started sobbing. How could you say those things when you know how much I love you mummy.

She seems to have motherly instincts in her. 😉 Recently when we went on a retreat, during teatime, I was already seated in the dining place sipping on my hot tea, waiting for her. Then I saw her from afar coming out of her activity room, queued for the teabreak pastries and her drinks, lined them on the table and ran out of the dining hall. Immediately I realised she had prepared the snacks and drinks for me and herself and were on her way out to look for me to have my teabreak. So I quickly ran after her and gave her a hug. Asked her if she was looking for me, she said Yes. 😄 Times like this, I really thank God for her blessed sweetness. :love:

Another thing he does that touches my heart.

It was late about 11 pm and I was settling down to clear up the dry laundry and put them away into respective cabinet. He was about to sleep & seeing me with a pile of clothing, he climbed out of bed and started to help me out. Seeing the mountain of clothing, he decided that the situation won't do. He went out of the room & viola came dh & dd. He told them to pick their own clothing & hang it themselves. Sweet right? :love:
