mmm...i wonder why... :idea:

My understanding is that ALL IP schools are excluded from the banding exercise!

And that there is no such thing as a \"being kicked out of Band 1\". The schools are \"banded\" strictly based on the L1R5 score. So a few school may be in Band 1 in a year and then in Band 2 in the next and then back to Band 1 again.

Thanks for ur feedback, tansm2010. May I know if they have changed their principal? My nephew went in during the first few years when it first started in Sengkang and his feedback was poor discipline & teachers had no enthusiam to teach...

Anyone with kids in Nan Chiau High School to share their experience in this school?

Right the only non SAP and autonomous school in band one category. Very glad to choose a right school for my dd 4 year ago. She is take O level this year. Good principal, teaching staff and culture.

ACSI is an IP school - excluded from banding[/quote]Not all of ACSI is IP so their O level population should still be included in the banding. I suspect their O level students aren't as academically strong and therefore did not achieve Band 1 performance.

Band 5: Average L1B5 = 14;
Band 6: Average L1B5 = 15;
Band 7: Average L1B5 = 16;
Band 8: Average L1B5 = 17;
Band 9: Average L1B5 = 18.

For the Special/Express course, the O-Level Bands are based on the average L1B5 rounded down to the nearest integer.
