No offense to your DD but personally, I feel it won't make much of a difference a week more or less if ( ) our DS revises his work consistently and put in the extra effort needed during this remaining 8 months. The longer it drags, the more stressful / painful it may be... no TVs, PSP etc... :frustrated: I do agree with you that the earlier the better too cos we can then stop all the nagging, start to relax and plan for an awesome vacation :boogie: before the result release and stress kicks in again with all the school selection and stuff like that... :nailbite:

No problem at all... Not sure about other but DS prefers to clear it earlier, cos he would have more playtime then, i.e., 3 months... Guess the other reason is that he can't stand the amount of homework that are slowing flooding in daily...:lol:

this is to give the childcare teacher a longer break over the weekend. that y it is fixed on the last working day of the first week.

It has been decided to fix it on the Friday of the week (i.e. irregardless which day Teacher's Day and Children's Day fall on!)

I was seeing through the calendar sheet given by Brands. I thought there were printing error but when I checked at the MOE website, it also shown these:


Teacher's Day 2nd sept ( I thought it's 1st sept)
Children's Day 7th Oct. ( I thought it's 1st oct)

With effect from next yr, Teachers' Day and Children's Day will fall on first Friday of the month...to allow both teachers and children to enjoy longer weekend.
