I am thinking of varnishing it but DH is concern that it is going to be very dirty especailly when we have furniture in the rooms.<br /><br />Has anyone done the varnishing while staying in ?<br /><br />What about polishing of marble ?<br /><br />Any advise/help is appreciated.<br /><br />thanks</p>

Also, need to see the quality of the flooring, some cannot be grinded/polished.<br /><br /><br />For the parquet flooring, I think the contractor is called Jason Parquet or something like that (according to my brother).</p>

Sanding is additional $100/room.<br />Need to take note that sometimes after sanding, it might be uneven (they sand too much at a certain spot).<br />My ID arranged for it, so I don’t have the contractor’s contact.</p>

That's a real headache.  Need to do some serious planning here.  Either while DS1 is away on camp or park them at grandmas.<br /><br />Do you have a contractor to recommend ?  Looks like I may need a cleaning agent too cos I do not have a maid and I don't think I can manage the cleaning, not to mention 3 days. <br /><br />Marble polish ? secondary liao. The smell is terrible! And when sanding, the dust particles will really irritate your throat and eyes. Even your walls and furniture will have alot of dust. <br />It took us 3 solid days of vacuuming and wiping the entire house to get rid of all the dust!<br /><br />For marble floor polishing (my parent’s place just underwent this):<br />It’s really messy cos they need to wet the floor too. Don’t think it can be done with existing furniture at home.</p>
