<![CDATA[Receipients of School's Prize Giving Ceremony]]>My kid’s school is only giving out prizes to the first of each class, first in school and first in each subjects. Was told this is the norm of every school? I would have thought at least top 3 in class? What’s yours like?

my gal's 1st primary school slightly better (slightly only lah),
she received $20 popular voucher for top in class. (only 1 voucher for each class)
her 2 nd primary school is better, as they give trophies instead of popular voucher (more meaningful)

My DS school gave out Teddy Bears dress in school uniform with Popular vouchers πŸ˜‰

My DS also received a teddy in female uniform. Hmmm...i wonder why :? isnt it clear in their names that they are BOYS. Fortunately, there was couple at the same table who received a male Teddy Bear for their gal so we did an exchange πŸ˜‰

Thanks all for the congrats replies. Awards were given to top scroers of every subject and overall. One girl kept getting prizes and I am guessing she will be the top scorer in my DD's school next Thursday (PSLE result).

For my school,, for every level, we have top in class, 1st-10th in standard (i'm 7th weee), best in *(foundation) english (me), *(foundation) maths, *(foundation) science and (foundation) mother tongue, top foundation pupil, best in progress, special academic award (for top scorers exempted from mother tongue) and the book prize. I don't know what's the book prize, but i've a feeling it ain't books... for the rest, we get a cert and book vouchers (only seen Popular so far)
