However, I'm not very sure of what they will be learning for higher Chinese as compared to the normal Chinese. Could someone advise of this? Will it be a lot more difficult for Higher Chinese as compared to the normal one? P2 Higher Chinese on Tue, 21 Dec 2010 08:52:33 GMT]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">Hi parents, happened to see this thread and see that mummies are wondering how to use zi bao bao.<br /><br /><br />something to share with you.<br /><br />you can make a fishing rod using a string attached with a magnet.<br />put paper clips on each card<br />then let your kids use the string that comes with magnet to attract the card (paper clip part).<br /><br />You can be the teacher by reading the words out for him to "fish".<br /><br />It is quite fun!<br /><br />I did that in school with my pupils .<br /><br />btw, HCL chinese text from P1-P4 are actually about the same as CL Text, the only difference is that HCL for P1-P4 are of more words.<br /><br />The child is only required to take the "real" HCL at p5. Therefore, results is important at P4 for the school to see if he will go to HCL class in P5 and continue to P6.<br />those who cant go to HCL class will study standard CL text or foundation text.<br />hope my explanations are clear</p>

U can go thru all the words one by one, according to the units in the text book. One simple game to play with yr child : U can place the cards on the table, then u read out one word aloud, and let yr child find that particular word. If u have more than one child  playing, u can also carry out the game in a competitive manner ( children love that pinch of competitiveness), whoever find the word can keep that card, and the winner goes to the one with the most cards.<br /><br />Just my 2 cents…</p>
