<![CDATA[how much do u spend on groceries]]>jus a poll, how much do u spend on groceries and marketing a mth？

i rem few yrs back when i go ntuc, just spend 50-60 ea wk ea time but nowadays i always end up 80-100, stimes 150 ev time i go, whc is once a week, so it makes ard 600 a mth. that is excluding meat whc my hub buys on wkends. is it the things increase in price so much?
i dont even buy non-essential stuff eg tidbits, liquor, cigarette (no one smokes in my family), magazines, etc. just buy fruits, veg, cooking oil, rice, diaper, milk, juice, tissue, milo, coffee, canned food, spaghetti that sort of things.

Other staples, each on it’s own is not material in cost - chicken, mushrooms, fruits, chicken essence.

Think those provision shops will increase their price soon. Their stock is not that much as compared to supermarket

Personally I feel safer shopping at supermarket esp for the seafood than at wet market. I ever brought 1 stalk of spring onion for $0.20 3 years back… kenna cut badly.

Wow only for weekends, and its already $500! :faint: Though I'd have to agree snacks are expensive. that day my hb requested for Kettles potato chips. Usually $4.50 a pack, but bought cos its on sale at $3.40. But if buy a lot of these things, the budget will shot up for sure.

i dont even throw in magazines on my grocery shopping anymore.
I m finding it harder to keep my grocery bills low too... n I no longer buy magazines.. I borrow fr Libraries!! sometimes if u go early in the month, u can get the latest ones.. we r 3a2c.. but my kids eat more than me!!
