Yeah I can understand why we shouldn't do this, at ANY time of the day. If I can achieve such an acrobat act, it will most likely be a permanent position for me.

legs facing door is known as 'coffin position' according to FS.
there are several 'cures' if your bed layout is restricted to this position; you can googled it if you are concerned.
before i was married, my bed was all along facing the bedroom door. hence i slept with my head facing the door as i remembered reading somewhere that it is better to sleep head facing door way as it is the natural way that one enters the world. when we were staying at my ILs' place where 4 of us squeezed in one bedroom and my dh had to sleep in front of the door, i also told him to sleep with head facing the door.

-Never place your shoes neatly, it's said that it's easier for 'them' to wear the shoes.-Place stuff/objects on unoccupied beds or seats, so as to not let them be occupied by 'them'.
