Hi usually there are 40 people in each class for all streams:) the subject combinations for Sec 3 are very flexible actually (such as triple sciences, double sciences or u could take double sci and one pure humanities subject) I’m not sure about the SBB class though

My child is in BSS Sec1 Express this year. Always feel PSLE is the worst period - to face the exam pressure and need to attend supplemtary classes 3 times a week

By the time, my child came home he was exhausted (knock out before dinner served at 7pm), limited time to rest not to mention revising.

Sec Schooler life seems so hectic and worse than me as a working adult. I still get a proper lunch meal at work. Any sharing or tips to manage as a 1st timer Sec School Mum's expectation? My boy has no complaints but the Mum is going nut... are parents from other nation schools across SG facing this too?
Does your son have mid-year exam this year? Some schools may replace the mid-year exam with bite-sized tests while others opt for projects.

For my kids, they have CCAs three times a week. On these three days, they spend almost 12 hours in school (7am-7pm). On days that they do not have CCA, they may need to stay back for project work, too. :nosebleed:

So, I would say, this is normal for life as a secondary school student.

Beatty is undergoing some transformation in 2017. It merged with Balestier Hill Sec School and has a new principal. Teachers from both sides are currently teaching at Beatty and obliviously the culture of Beatty is expected to change and different. Based on my own opinion, l have met many caring teachers and some otherwise and think this can be expected in any school.

You have about 4 to 5 choices. Most uniform groups like NPCC (once a week) and NCC (usually twice a week) have their training on weekdays. There will be a selection by the various groups (including dance and choir) to determine if your child is incline to their aim.
