Overall increase except Chinese which dropped to Band 3.

Hi Janet

I think as long as your ds have worked hard there should be not any problem. It will be good that he starts working on CA1 pass year paper now since there is 3 weeks left before the exam. As for CL, I think CA1 was without Oral, CL compo. And listening test (you may want to clarify with school), as such get your tutor's help to train him more on CL open and end questions that usually is more tough to score marks.

Brenda10

Reply to Trend that school is using the mass market assessment books on Mon, 07 Feb 2011 23:59:02 GMT

Brenda10:

janet_lee88:
I compared 'Shaping Maths' and 'My Pals'. However, I had learnt a big lesson on dd P4 when she just doing school work without any additional source that she scored 65 for CA1 and after much effort on drilling up to 16 sets of SA2 paper she got 95 for SA2.

Hi Brenda,
My son does badly for CA1 every year, so I hope this year he is more prepared for it...even though it is 10% but it means a lot too at the end of the year. He had Band 3 for his subjects. Las year, we worked very hard and he went up to 82 for Maths.
