<![CDATA[NAFA and alternative]]>seemed like really difficult to enrol into NAFA…any body has any suggestion for other art school that is good? I have 2 seven-year-old and 1 11year-old very keen on arts and are currently with Crestar.

Do hope to enrol them into a more estab. school like NAFA

My gal attended NAFA arts classes since she was P2..now she is in P5...She enjoyed alot and learn alot of new techniques like rice paper drawing (chinese drawing), pop arts, foam printing, sketching etc...She is now into advance class leraning acrylic painting. Personally, to me its a worth long wait/queue to enroll her into NAFA.

Thank you for sharing. As the class size quite big i heard 15 kids do each kid able to get the attention? When a teacher teach a theme does it mean all kids draw same things or they cn add on their creativity. For eg if teacher draw butterfly the kids mus exactly draw the same butterfly or they cn draw their own butterfly n add flowers. Cn they use their creativity? do nafa organise competition? Thank u.

They only have enrollment once a year that is why you feel that is a long waiting list . Not true . I enquired at the end of 2010 but miss the enrollment for 2011 , so i put my name with them . somewhere in oct they send u a letter … you just go down to register in dec . Ofcourse its first come first serve so you just have to go down to queue . Thats it

I was in the mailing list last year but did not go down to register.

So far just heard good is the NAFA branding but I have not heard of any good reviews from NAFA. The setback is that the class is quite big where usually at 20.

We conduct 8 - 10 students per class with 1 teacher and 1 helper. We are the first one to conduct this programme in Singapore so for the moment only 1 center in Hougang. The other centers base in another Asia country. Sorry for the inconvenient.

I had the same issue when i wanted to register my son for the art lessons. Just to register him is such a hassle - waiting list is more than a year. You call the dept to register. They put you on the mailing list and you wait. Priority is given to existing students of NAFA and their siblings.


I register my girl for dance lessons and thereafter register my son as a sibling for the art lessons. Bingo, he got in the following year.
