Every morning they got clusters of bites. Bed bugs will be attracted to body heat & feed on human blood in the nite. They then lay hundreds of eggs. It’ll not just be corners of bed but even on corners of walls & cracks.

So, we tried steam cleaning it with our Kratcher. After a few weeks, MIL got bites again. Might hv either been parts of bedroom not cleared of bugs or living room sofas or ano room. Called in the pest busters & PILs stayed in hotel for 2 days, as advised due to strong chemical.

We helped them sent all their clothings to the laundromat & steam dry the lot. The high heat helps.

No sign of the vermins since. That was 3 years back.

We heard frds had maids brot in bed bugs to house. Since then entire extended family (SIL, BIL & PIL) will send our new helper’s belongings for laundromat wash before entering our homes.

I used to have bed bugs at home in the past and have managed to get rid of them completely using self DIY and did not seek any professional help.

What I did was to catch and kill all the adult bedbugs that I found on the underside of the bedding.
Then I used hair dryer and apply heat to kill off any eggs which are too small to be seen at the naked eye.
After two to three rounds of applying heat with the hair dryer over the span of about one week, the bed bugs were completely removed from my place of residence.

Hope this tip can be useful to any one of you having bedbug issues at home. They can be really hard to get rid of.

Good thing I got rid of mine at home. I spent some money though but I'll certainly take note of your suggestion. So next time, I don't have to worry spending money to kill all the bed bugs. :imcool:

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I was having trouble sleeping last night and I am suspecting it is due to bed bugs. I checked it first thing in the morning but I did not see anything. might as well try your suggestions.

The last time I was bitten I could see blood stain on the sheet. If there isn't, may not be. Perhaps you spend the night in another room and see if you still get new spots. Or you can use a steam iron n steam your mattress 😉

Did not find those bed bugs but was bitten on my own bed at my home now each day 20-30 dots... sprayed bed bugs spray and await the bugs to appear. Whatever I do I just do not see the bugs at all... definitely not a mozzie bite as it is red with a dot... other than those normal bed bugs, could it be something else?

Are the spots in clusters?
