Hi there is a helpful app/website called Memrise. My children use it, it's very creative and engaging.

You can choose the right level for learning so I am sure it can help your child, mine were very satisfied with it.

She has a unique way in making learning fun, with stickers and snacks as perks. Their knowledge about subjects like places, history, animals, sports, current affairs etc is also broadened greatly because of learning through you tube videos, discussions and PowerPoint presentations. And it is through these mediums, she doesn’t just excel in academia but life skills, having been given opportunities to reflect on the values and purpose of life.I choose The Learning Lab above other enrichment providers because of the creative and relevant curriculum.


One of the greatest value add for me as a parent is the intentional guidance given to write compositions, with usual descriptive phases. I appreciate the yearly compilation of students’ compositions which she can refer to and learn from.

Hi there is an iPhone app called Strokes Order, it does exactly what u described. Not sure whether it's available for Android phones but I don't see why not.

But I just wonder about composition writing? Writing a composition involves so many aspects and sub-skills that it is much more of an art than a science; it is surely not reducible to algorithms or standardised responses.


Perhaps I should set up an online business evaluating students’ first drafts and advising how to improve them?!

Oh yes, I see... I guess the addressing of the grandparents are the only difference here.

~FREE MENTORING PROGRAMME~

This is a Programme that is specially catered to Primary 1 to 4 children from low income families.

The mentoring session will be held once a week in the West side of Singapore, with each session lasting an hour. It will be 3 students to 1 tutor. The tutors are mostly undergraduates. There is no charge involved at all for this programme. The tutors will help the students with their schoolwork, with no extra assessments.
