It should be make a good learning process and experience in school thru civil education. Sincerity is more important.

I agree this CIP thing seems quite insincere on the students' part. However, this so called National Education seems to work. I volunteer from time to time for SGcares and I meet a lot of young adults who are doing volunteer work not for CIP. I think they recall the goodness they felt during their CIP days in school after they have helped the community and want to return to contribute more. I think this NE is quite successful. If there are 50000 in each level cohort and you can influence just 5000 to have a charitable heart and want to continue in community work later, that is a lot already. It doesn't matter the other 45000 bochap or chap less.

dovetail

Reply to CIP hours at Secondary School on Sat, 04 Jun 2011 06:15:10 GMT

You need at least 20 CCA points to get your 2 bonus points.
You need at least 8 CCA points to get 1 bonus points.
Bonus points are only applicable to secondary students taking o-levels in SG.
It is difficult to get an A1 of 25 CCA points without leadership position(s) but I managed to do so :imcool:

In any case, I restrained myself for 4 freaking years to get my deal.
It is worth the CCA points but I never liked the place as the ppl suck balls.
This is my last year in this god-forsaken school, I never want to come into such a place again... By doing 60+ hours of CIP hours and Silver NYAA, plus enrichment points received by events organized by my school, I managed to hit 25 points in the course of about 7 months.
