Your sauce cannot be too dry or thick. Need to have some liquid in it so that the pasta can soak it up.

Had the same problem even though i covered all the sheets with sufficient sauces. After baking they came out hard and brittle. I kind of boiled them the rest round. came out great. I think the oven ready isnt really oven ready.

However, I added chopped celery and aubergines as well as dried oregano in addition to what was required in the recipe.

Instructions says that you must cover the sheets thoroughly with the sauce in order for it to be cooked before baking. This is to be taken seriously cuz the first time I tried it, I did not pay close attention to this aspect and some parts of the sheets turned out hard and crispy

This time was much better. However, I still need to master the art of slicing it more neatly.

BTW, I ran out of cheddar/mozerella cheese and used parmesan cheese instead. The 1st two are much much better in terms of taste and texture.

http://postimage.org/image/23y3xeb50/

http://postimage.org/image/23yajjp44/

autumnbronze

Reply to Lasagna- how to prepare with local ingredients on Wed, 06 Apr 2011 01:46:30 GMT

I only saw 2 types so far inthe Major supermarkets
