Yah. A little make up for special occasions I am ok, even now. But for daily wear, gotta be after Sec 4 or JC if she goes that route. Likewise for hair since schools do not allow dyed or highlighted hair.

This mummy here does not use makeup so she will have a hard time getting her hands on much makeup unless she buys them on her own. However skin care routine, I will start her as soon as possible maybe even earlier then 10yrs old if I can get my hands on truly good skincare products for kids at affordable price.

Funz

Reply to Girls - at what age on Thu, 10 Feb 2011 02:32:04 GMT

Mum1113:

vlim:
I would like to share something which is off topic...

Yesturday while driving my 9 yr old girl back home, I told her to be aware of pervert men. Little bit of eye shadow, blusher, lip gloss, on special occasions like her birthday and CNY.
3) She does that during school hols now.

But I guess she will get over the novelty of it soon.

But seriously, makeup, nail polish, hair, all these, when she is in tertiary.

Urm, tertiary?! I think by the time she's in mid to late teens there will be little you can control already....

my responses:

1) facial cleanser - Pri sch

2) put on make up - after age 15 ok for special occasion like weddings, for weekends tinted lip gloss is ok, once JC can use whatever amt of make-up that looks nice (i.e. looks like dun have haha).

3) apply nail polish - if non-toxic, don't mind letting them play around with it from pri sch. otherwise only in sec sch on non-sch days.

toddles
