Am putting in a dishwasher so I do not have space for a separate buit-in steamer.

Do note that a combi-steam oven has fewer baking/grilling functions.

I would have gotten a cheaper model (there was a Brandt oven for below $600 promo price) but it does not have the rostisserie function.


I am doing away with a built-in cooking hob and using a portable induction cooker instead, so the oven having a bit more functions can only be (hopefully) more helpful.

After much consideration, I got the Miele steam oven and Brandt oven instead cos having them separately means I can prepare 2 dishes simultaneously, no time is wasted waiting for a dish to be ready before the next.

Also my DD enjoys baking so an oven that can produce higher heat and a fan in 3 locations will be more suitable.

Just want to confirm if your above feedback on your steamer still valid? Read somewhere that there are feedback about water dripping. Did you experience that?

Am renovating my kitchen and will be getting a multi-function steamer which can also grill and bake.

Currently, I hate to wash the steamer after using it on the stove because it is very big. I know some people don't wash it every time they use but I cannot bring myself to use the steamer and not wash it afterwards. I think I have a bit of OCD because I also have to iron all clothes including underwear, towel and bedsheet. :faint:

And all the washing makes my hands dry...

Need to fill the water container with water, after a steam clean, gotta wipe the interior dry, there is a drip tray that you need to empty pretty frequently as well.

I have used the steam function only once. I guess it is useful as in you pop the food in set the timer and off you go and when the time is up, the heat will stop. As oppose to stove top steaming, you have to remember to turn off the stove. It will not alert you if there is not enough water.

It takes longer to steam using the oven than over the stove. And it is more troublesome to clean up after steaming.
