I would have gotten a cheaper model (there was a Brandt oven for below $600 promo price) but it does not have the rostisserie function.<br /><br /><br />I am doing away with a built-in cooking hob and using a portable induction cooker instead, so the oven having a bit more functions can only be (hopefully) more helpful.</p>

I know some people don't wash it every time they use but I cannot bring myself to use the steamer and not wash it afterwards. I guess it is useful as in you pop the food in set the timer and off you go and when the time is up, the heat will stop. As oppose to stove top steaming, you have to remember to turn off the stove. It will not alert you if there is not enough water.</p>

But I find using it for steaming is not effective. <br /><br /><br />It takes longer to steam using the oven than over the stove. And it is more troublesome to clean up after steaming.</p>
