Anyone has comments or experience with dancepointe @ SengKang? i intend to send my girl who is currently 41months old to ballet class. But seems like their classes are quite limited to few days… till now im still on waiting list for my prefered time slot.

Is this thread still active? I’m keen to find a ballet school for my girl who is currently 26 months. Was told that earliest will be next year jan to enrol her. Was thinking of dancepointe (Anchorvale cc), trudance (Sengkang cc) and ballet music and dance (Seletar Mall) as it’s nearer to home. Any recommendation which is better? TIA!

My girl did not take the pre-primary grading.


As we moved house, she did not have sufficient time to learn her Grade 1 dance either. Her ballet teacher told her to go straight to Grade 2 the next year.
Hi Crazy C, if your gal intends to take the RAD exam, you might need to check again with the ballet teacher. The RAD requirement for grade 2 is that the examinee needs to have at least a pass in Grade 1 exam.

Hi, the pre-primary exam is in a group with the present of the teacher to tell them what to do during exam. Coaching class is additional class for exam preparation. Is ok if you want to skip the exam. RAD graded exam is not compulsory.

Yes, there is different. Exam time group of 6 going to dance with the teacher available. Exam will be inform once they have the detail if I remember correctly. Coaching for preprimary is 3 month while primary level will be 6 months.

I think that it might not be any difference as some centre might be using the CC facilities for classes, so the fees might be cheaper. This is from what I have observe. Maybe parents can comment about this.

I understand that the max is 20 students.

Maybe you are lucky - is it Mariska? My friend said she is nice. I think she has another covering teacher and her daughter cried after the class because the teacher shouted at her - personally a teacher should be patient, maybe she was in a bad mood that day. i heard for primary level - the fees for each term is S$178 - not sure if this is high but just know that the fees had increased recently to cover rising staff costs, etc. Recently, my friend tried to ask the reception for some info and the reply is \"I don't know\" most of the times. Why did the school engage a \"I don't know\"? My friend was too surprised and just did not want to talk further to her as it was a waste of time. How to communicate then? One wonders if such a staff justifies the rising staff costs. God knows.
