DS1 is 11 and only 136cm while DD2 is 9 and 150cm.
Do i need to be worried? DS1 seems to grow really slowly. While DD2 seems to have premature puberty?

if he's getting the right nutrients and seems to be healthy I think you don't have to worry about it. Some kids puberty come in late.

Think TKD could help? DD1 at year 4 is 175cm/50 plus kg, even taller than the mum at 172cm. DD2 is 165cm/60 plus kg at year 1.

DS is 1.87m and his BMI is 21. He was quite short in P6 but grew 18cm in Sec 2 and 6cm in Sec 3 . Luckily after that his growth slowed down. Phew. Recently we noticed his shoulder widened a lot. I guess his bones are still growing at age 18.

During the growth spurt, he slept a lot. Really really a lot. He can nap 2-3 hours in the afternoon and still has no problem sleeping at night. Since young he eats 6 times in a day. 3 meals and 3 snacks but the portions are not big.

Mine is managing 7hrs of sleep every night. Only in sec 1. Difficult to squeeze in more as he comes home after 5-6pm daily. Weekends if he wakes up late, he has problems sleeping at night so he sleeps 9hrs on weekends only. He doesn't nap since young too. I tried to get him to swim once a week. Their sch having pe swimming now, twice a week. Hope can grow some more.

Mine was abt 173+ , 44+ kg in Sec 2
1.7 then should be around 43 kg range
His ht shot is fast but weight is v slow
Now is 177 /178cm haven’t hit 50kg
See this pattern , height growth is slowing
But got exam stress now ? How to grow too?
Also eat a lot of rice at homes , balanced meal. Lunches are rice in sch or burgers meals or western set lunches in nearby malls.But my ds is not a breakfast person

My DS is 14 years old, 1.7m+ but below 50kg. Also underweight. Keep telling him to drink full cream milk but he would only drink HiLo. He takes balanced meals so am not so worried. Plus I can see him growing taller.

Think it should be ok for them to be underweight now. They will probably put on weight when they stop the stretch.

1 yr has passed, your boy hit 1.8m already a not? Can share his weight when he was around 1.7m?
My boy grew from few cm short of 1.6m to few cm short of 1.7m - as tall as his dad and ds1 now. My brothers are 1.75m-ish tall, so I hope Ds2 can hit that. But in this 1yr, he only puts on 2kg and his bmi now is underweight category.

He used to eat rice for recess, lunch and dinner. Now he eats rice for lunch and dinner, recess fruits, sandwiches etc.

Your DS2 grew from a few cm short of 1.6m to a few cm short of 1.7m? Wow, that’s fast within such a short time frame. Exercise a lot ah??

I had an impression that my two DDs are very big sized whenever I read such posts during their primary school time, @P6 both girls almost 1.6m and DD1 weighed more than 50kg with DD2 almost at 60kg.

Now (sec 2) DD1 seems to have grown taller but still shorter than me?! She’s 1.62m now and I don’t see much growth spurt anymore. I stopped growing in height by end of sec 2, so should be likewise for her.

DD2 (sec 1) worse, since P6, she only grows sideways and hasn’t grown much in height. Today still falls short of 1.6m by 1-2cm.

Like that hor, means boys will suddenly become big and tall after 13yo while girls will slow down and stop growing taller after sec 2?
