<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Tips for frying rice&#x2F; bee hoon.]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">Hi, does anyone know how to prevent rice or bee hoon from sticking to the wok? <br /><br />I tried adding more oil and also making sure the wok is hot before adding in the ingredients.<br />However, some rice and bee hoon still got stuck to the inside base of the wok and then became charred. <br />What’s worse, my fried rice and bee hoon ended up with a burnt ‘fragrance’.  <br /><br />Though I am not a good cook, I know food cooked using non-stick pan do not taste as good.</p>

Meat/vegetable stock on its own is not salty or flavorful enough. You need to add seasoning - salt, soy sauce, sugar, pepper, spices etc. If not making your own stock, just buy Swanson's or Heinz chicken stock. Using baking soda to wash the wok helps to remove whatever stains that's left behind. <br /><br />I tried using medium heat before, the bee hoon/rice did not turn out as tasty compared to using big fire. <br /><br />Usually, I buy canned gulong/mili pork leg with mushroom to fry my bee hoon with some veg added.
