Yeah, my dream job is to be a Professor.. So I can \"lecture\" 乳臭未干的小伙子, talk and talk while people listen to me in awe, and then go paid overseas trips for conferences, yet can leave early to spend time with my darlings!!

I am not a Professor, but my job is sort of like what you described, including getting paid (extra allowance) to go on sight-seeing trips overseas. I can even borrow free movies to watch in the office, for the purpose of doing research for my new module.

I do love my job, but certain aspects of my job are not fun, like having to mark assignments/tests/exams piled like a mountain, and reading hundreds of essays written in bad English !

my dream then was to be a chinese ballerina, where I am acclaimed internationally and a well sought-after icon in the field. so cool. but minus the long hours where I had to train and practise.

Being successful means I can spend half the day living the tai-tai life-style ie. drive my kids around, spend time with them, not having to worry about domestic matters since I should be able to afford maids.


When I was in my twenties me & a close friend were also dreaming of owning a 2nd-hand bookstore renting out books. Because we both borrow a lot from these bookshops and thought it so cool to be able to run one!

At one time was also very actively using Yahoo! Auction to sell off my stuff, great fun that was when I was able to sell off some stuff at a profit or just cash out on certain gifts which I don't need. Dreaming about how to sell stuff on the website such that it can churn out profits instead of a loss (ke..ke...getting rid of old stuff is not exactly making a profit!).

At 20yrs old, me and a friend were dreaming about being a private chef/caterer. Where we cater to small intimate functions for busy people. She being the artistic one will handle table setting and ambience while me being interested in cooking will plan the menu and prepare the food. All pretty cosy and kinda atas. 😉

Now, after working for so many years, I want to do no brainer jobs, pump attendant or checkout counter girl, ehh actually the latter need to use brain, gotta tally cash at the end of the shift so maybe not.
