He says 30% are flat and can be removed, 30% have roots, so removal is incomplete. Another 30% will see moles recurring due to genes.

Just 1 more question, was the surgery done on the day of your 1st consultation at skin centre or did they arrange a diff day to do so? I recall when I went there to remove a small wart on my face, the doc did it on same day. Thanks![/quote]It was on a different day, on day of consultation the doc will examine the mole and my DD was sent to photography room to take a picture of the mole. The doc who saw my dd was quite junior so she had to ask for a senior doctor to examine it etc. FYI the surgery was done by another doctor, more senior than the consultation doc but less junior than the one called in to check my dd's mole in detail. Hi, I removed DD's mole last year - it was on her face, slightly above her upper lip. I took her to a polyclinic to get a referral letter for national skin centre (subsidized fee), saw the doctor and then it was arranged for her to get the mole removed. On day of surgery, very fast, only took 1/2 day. FYI. Cheers !
