Plastics over time, tend to get scratches and change in colour. Something must have changed over time. Whatever these components that leak out are within safety limits (no harm to humans). Which started this question initially on why there should be a limit for plasticiser? A limit was set because there bound to be some coming from normal preparation. Any content that is beyond the limit means that there is an intention to ADD plasticier into the medication or food. That is when IT IS NOT CORRECT.<br /><br />There is even reports of iron seeping into our food if we use cast iron pots. And that is well established long time ago. I bet 99% of kids if has any infection, such as throat, ear etc, doc will give this medicine. If I remember correctly, there is also the tablet form for adult right? I think I remember taking this when I got throat infection while still breastfeeding my kid.
