<![CDATA[ugly feet]]>i notice dd’s friend at the tender age of 13 already has bunion and the feet really look very ugly.


also notice this seems to be a pretty common problem among ladies. some have the second toe on top of the big toe.

kids’ shoes are not suitable for dd now (size too small) and we have to get adult’s shoes. have to be extra careful in chooosing shoes for her. headache.

I had painful bunions after wearing high-heels and pointed shoes, Podiatrists said mine was serious but luckily not extreme like LOLmum said second toe over big toe. Note they are permanent unless surgically corrected!! :yikes: for me i had insoles from Orchard Clinic, the podiatry centre so they arent painful anymore 😂

•Check the shoes right out of the box. Put the shoes on a flat surface and hold the top of the shoe while rocking it in and out. The shoes should remain even and should not roll. If they are new and they roll, they won’t stop your foot from rolling from side to side, and may buckle during use causing an injury.
•Is the heel counter straight? The small stitched rectangular area in the back of the shoe should be straight and sturdy when you hold both shoes at eye level.
•Be sure that the midsole of the shoe is securely glued into the uppers. To test it, hold the shoe, and try to separate the uppers from the midsole of the shoe. If it pulls apart at all, and it is brand new, it has a defect.

I’ve been addicted to it for years. Very comfy and lasts at least 3 years or more with daily wear.

well, my kids and i love them. and yes a bit pricey. so a bit heartache when my dd feet grew a tad too fast for the shoes to get the full value worth.

I like them coz I actually can wear the same design and style as my daughter. Just a pity Birkenstock doesn't come in cuter designs. Anyone like to wear same design as their children? Or isit just me 😛

I have ugly feet too...bunions due to many years of ballet training and uncomfortable office shoes. No amount of pedicuring will make them look better! I think I might need treatment for them soon. As I get older, it has become more and more uncomfortable, and even painful to walk, even barefoot. Does anyone know any doctors I can see about this?

i 😉 coloured toe nails but i dont like to have a round of pedicure too often. maybe one or twice a year.

luckily for me, my feet are pretty okay (no bunions no hard skin etc) but i think a bit of flat feet.

no, i dont have any dr to recommend think it should be treated asap since it is getting too painful to walk. maybe write to mind your body to seek advice?

so had a pedicure with nails nicely trimmed and shaped, though a bit yellowish, but gosh, it is great to see my nails naked. gonna keep them naked for at least a couple more weeks to get that natural pinkish colour again.

ds has been wearing them since young and dd who has not so bad flat feet started wearing them recently and loves them.

the other solution is to get a good pair of insoles and wear them with normal shoes. ds is wearing one with his school shoes.

i really like birkenstock which is really good for kids with wide feet and flat feet too. colette at united square has nice shoes, for running shoes, try geox.

Did buy some from colette but DD1 prefer those from dept stores. But observing that those shoes are not doing her feet and and legs any good. So ban them now.........So now looking for alternatives......Colette, did not find anything that suit her

All these tight, ill-fitting high heels, even sports shoes are bad. Friend of mine had to go for surgery to correct her feet because of the pain from them.
