It's quite a sight, as a grandmother allowed her grandson to pee into a plastic bag while onboard an MRT train in Singapore.

The pictures were taken by STOMPer, Jacob, who saw the little boy doing his business in full view of other passengers who were riding the same train.

Coincidentally, another STOMPer, Ben Yuen, also sent in a similar picture of a woman who helped her little son pee into the groove between a train station platform and the train.

In China, little children are allowed to wear shorts or pants which have gaps between the legs to allow the child to answer nature's call without soiling their clothes. Most parents and guardians in China are not in the habit of putting diapers on for their children.

but this is so subjective to determine which is 'cleanest'. maybe the the cleaner at ur blk more hardworking than u win lor. lol.

probably there would be some criterion to be matched before they gave out the award eg void deck, letter box, corridor etc

I think they realize now it's the cleaner that keep the estate clean. But now cleaner all change to FT, clean like never clean.

Perhaps it's not the cleaner's fault. There are too many irresponsible dog-owners who bring their dogs to pee and poo at the void decks. The cleaners can't be cleaning non-stop. There are also people who spit all over the void-decks, in the lifts, at the lift doors.

There is such a sign being posted after all.


But I sincerely hope we won’t have to go to this extend. It’s such an embarrassment if we have to put such signs. Can’t imagine what the tourists would think!

It also happens in my estate. When I first shifted here, the whole place was brand-new and so clean.Then later, people started shifting in and the irresponsible ones will bring their dogs to the lift lobbies to pee and poo. They even let the dog poo in the lift. There is a beautiful sheltered pathway but now, all the pillars are covered with pee and poo, permanent stain on all. But we can't blame the authorities as it's impossible to catch all these culprits. Of cos, there are also responsible dog-owners, but alas, so few are responsible...

teaching kids to pee in MRT train station is wrong. Transmitting wrong msg to kids so young that ... it's ok to show their little ... to public, front view exposure. Totally unacceptable!
My view is that the main problem is not exposing the kids to the public. It is understandable and acceptable that under exceptional circumstances, this might happen (young kids changing in public at swimming pools/beaches, etc.).

What I do not like is the total lack of civic mindedness of the people, with them allowing urine to 'flow' into areas that will never be maintained/washed (the tracks in underground stations), or the floor of the station or trains. This will cause hygiene and cleanliness issues. Do they want to be responsible for standing there, wear the CWO tag and wash/mop the place to clean the mess, bearing in mind that everyone else wants a clean environment?

This is unacceptable.

This also reminds me of another group of people whom i detest -- the irresponsible pet owners. (if you are a pet owner, but is a responsible one, then you do not fall into this category).

In my neighbourhood, there are lots of irresponsible pet owners who will allow their dogs to pee and poo in the common areas like corridor and void decks, and not clean after them. It is a pity that our useless authorities here in Singapore are powerless to do anything about such inconsiderate and sometimes downright despicable acts. I said despicable because I have personally witnessed residents from many blocks away bringing his dog to my block's vicinity to poo...

I doubt our MRT system is like that, but if there is some similarity to those trams in HK (where there is electricity powering the trams/trains), and there are power cables underneath the tracks/grooves, if the urine touches those power, the kid could in theory be electrocuted...

I ever had a few close calls before.. you know how kids play and play then when they tell you need to pee it is really emergency cannot wait already...

DD was not in diapers already so we had to do a marathon to the toilet only to see super long queue... 😓

normally there will be some super nice ladies who will let my gals cut queue when they see the gals twist and turn their legs already..

:oops: sometimes in case of super urgent I will request if they can cut queue :oops: And insist DDs to say their thanks and reprimand them for their last min alert..

Before go on board mrt / car for long journeys sure must ask them if need to clear bladder or not first :lol:

Actually I have a different view.

If they are using plastic bags for such urgent matters, I think it is fine cos rare incident can occur....just like someone wanting to vomit on the train, if a plastic bag is pulled out I would appreciate it alot.
