My son perspires a lot too. But however due to the high price now, I usually recommend my customers if they want to take 1 tael (37.5g), then better to grind into powder and then put into capsules then eat, since most pp don't eat the cordyceps after double boil. In fact, when double boil cordyceps, it is best not to wash it, just don't drink the bottom of the soup. I have met customer who told me, she washed until the cordyceps is not dark anymore. :faint: I told her, of course, no use, all the nutrients are washed away already.

The flower is actually the man-cultivated cordyceps, usually we called yong chongcao, not chongcao hua. However, can't blame most pp, even after 'scolding' my staffs, they still call it chongcao hua. Give up! Giving wrong info to the customers. Actually quite sad, all these staffs don't want to pass the correct information to the customers and make pp think that TCM is no good or fake stuff.

Actually if want to eat cordyceps to build up one's health, can consider getting those ready-made cordyceps capsules, since it is more affordable, easy to consume and also since can eat daily, definitely can build up one's health. In fact, I give my kids these for a period of time when they were a bit weak. Must say, for the man-cultivated cordyceps, if boil for soup and drink daily, will help to build up one's health too.

To say the truth, for such herbs, even for the most reputable tong ren tang or EYS, they still get their herbs from local supplier or china/hong kong supplier. If the supplier wants to give them fake stuff, they might not know too. I once heard that one of local cordyceps supplier also got trick before, in the stock he take from china, got mix too. I have seen the stock before and I know it. But the mix is unless you really know how to differentiate, if not, most pp can't tell at all. It is also fungi infected by worm. But the real cordyceps must be that particular fungi being infected by 1 particular worm. So of course, the price is steep now, since not easy to have such perfect match.

To me, someone from the medical hall, if given a chance, it is better to buy from EYS then HH. So for my friends who find it hard to buy from my shop, I will tell them to buy from EYS and not HH, not only cordyceps, also ginseng, bird nest etc. Have seen the type of herbs HH sell, if want to buy from HH, it is not much different to buy from other medical hall. If you go to a good medical hall, you might want much better quality stuff then HH.

kwokwc

Reply to Cook cordeceps? on Thu, 23 Jun 2011 03:15:25 GMT

WeiHan:

thebusybee:

But I just wonder if the effects of the powdered form same as those u cook to extract the essence?
