I have 2 girls, one P4 & P1 next year studying at Hougang Primary.

Any parents with kids attending day care/after school care near Hougang Primary school, would appreciate your kind advice & recommendation.

Just went to take a look at some of the centres few days ago. Realised that their environment were quite different from childcare centre. Many centres were pretty run down.

I strongly suggest that whoever is looking at BASC should go down and take a look themselves before deciding.

However, I did found one opposite Hougang Mall which I think is acceptable. It even tie up with an outside vendor for drawing classes in the evening. If parents will like their child to pick up learning and worried about travelling, this centre might be suitable.

Sorry for the late reply. The BASC is Little Professor. Environment is pretty clean and new.

However, it is a very typical tuition ctr set-up. I have actually prefer a more childcare like environment whr there are proper pl for food, TV, learning, playing etc. In most BASC environment, esp those under HDB blocks bomb shelter, the environment is more like a tuition ctr.

However if there are not many choices, I will pick Little Professor.

My DD will however be enrolled in a student care nex to her sch. In case she decides to do CCA, it will be more convenient (no waiting of CCA buses).

There is a Pro-Teach branch just opposite to PLMGS.
its located along some shop-houses.
Seems Pro-Teach has a better reputation.
Friends whose children have attended in other areas provided good feedback on the approach and attitude.
Will be checking it out.

Seems quite popular.
The other one in bishan would be bishan 3-in-1 student care.
Other centers would include child care centers that have student care centers but i don’t think it’s very good cos they out the kids 2-6 as piority first. Student care they just supervise that they do their work.
Bishan 3-in-1 is also smth like that except they have separated the child care from the student care so it’s more specialised and have teachers to tutor etc etc.

I’m currently staying in Bishan. My boy’s primary school will be in Hougang.

My priority is to get a BASC in Bishan & a BASC in Hougang will be a contingency plan just in case the school’s designated school bus doesn’t want to pick him up from Bishan.

While it is still the Phrase 2C SUPP, will wana check with all parents which is the best Before and After School Student Care Centre near Hougang Area.
