I signed my girls up for the Twinkle Art - Oceans Of Fun - Holiday Program.
Would love to share with all.. 😉

This Oceans Of Fun Camp aims to provide the little diver with activities that
will inspire them to explore the undersea wonderland as well as the
opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills through art games
and teamwork.

Twinkle Art invited the little divers to 'dive' into the ocean of books, when
they were brought out to visit the library and explore the books on ocean
life/creatures. Yesterday, the little divers were engaged with paints, brushes,
oil pastels and sponges to create a beautiful masterpiece on the undersea
wonderland. Here's one from one of the students. I only saw this initials...

The Twinkle Art's Diving Plan
Day 1 > Exploring the ocean [library visit]
Day 2 > Paint & Brush Session
Day 3 > Pottery Art Session
Day 4 > Games & Craft Fun
Day 5 > Angelfish Sharing Session
Day 6 > Games and Glazing Fun
Day 7 > Octopus Stewing Fun

Now left with 6 days into the Oceans Of Fun Holiday Programme, i found
that they are still able to take in a couple more students! So, if your
kiddies can do drop-off holiday programme this will be nice. 😉
Suitable for kiddies aged 4 years old and above, but according to Mr Ong,
the wonderful Art Director there... he doesn't even mind 3 years old
kiddies coming in!

So, if your kiddie can be independent without having you around to hover,
grab this chance to go for that long deserved break to have b'fast with
friends or just chill out while your kiddies are with the experts. I saw 3
hands-on people working with all the kiddies at all times. After the kiddies
are finished with their respective pieces, they are allowed to go to the
free expression playroom where they are given the absolute freeedom to
play with any of the toys available on the shelves and in the baskets, to
do drawing, folding or cutting activities with the readily available materials
at hand and even suka-suka work with the whiteboard markers to doodle!
So cool and the freedom of expression part... i like... and do welcome
that notion. So important for the artist in us! What more the little kiddies.. 😄

I've helped you guys fish out the cost for the remaining days available.
It's SGD $290 for the entire 6 days! Or if your kiddie cannot make it for
all the days, they're accommodating enough to even allow ala-carte
sessions for you. Of course, it wud naturally be cheaper to go with the
whole 6 days lah.. But aniwaes, here are some pictures to entice you..
Btw, this Oceans Of Fun Holiday Programme runs for 3 hours from 11am
to 2pm.

thought i share this with u…

my sis and her family were on hols and got back last week. her 2 yr old girl has fever on their flight back and they were quarantined at the airport for 1 hr or so…then they went to a doctor immediately and at the clinic, the doc called an ambulance n they were referred to tan tock seng hosp …where the child was observed and then recommended to go KK…turns out it’s just a "normal" fever …the whole family just came back from melbourne, tired exhausted and drama lasted till 3am…she had to extend her leave…

so do pay attention to any possible fever cos DEFINITELY will be quarantined!

You might consider travelling to Sunshin coast where there is alot of good education stuff like big Pineapple, Australia Zoo, the Ginger factory, book farm, strawberry field, Kenilworth Cheese Factory , Forest Glen Super Bee .. alot to see.


You can join those 1 days tour .. most likely it is available in the hotel that you will be staying ..
Goldcoast to Sunshine coast is not that near. Beware of those 1 day tour which covers a lot of places. Most likely, you'll just 'pass by' them or given very very short time to explore the destinations like The Big Pineapple.

Hi,

We are going to Australia (by tour group) this coiming June holiday for 7D 6N with my two kids age 4+ and 7+. May I know what are the things that I should take note of as this is the time travelling oversea?

We are going to goldcoast, movie world, dream world, feed dolphin ,etc.

I think there will be a 1 day free n easy. Is there any where that we should not miss out and can go on that free n easy day?

I haven't been to that part of Oz before but I have been to other parts about 4-5 times. So I can't recommend what you should see there but I can suggest what you should bring. June is early winter but since you're going to the northern part, the temperatures should average between 10-20 degrees celsius.

The sun will still be shining brightly and since there are (so much!) fewer trees there than over here, please bring a hat/cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Don't be fooled into thinking that a brightly shining sun means you can wear only T-shirts under a thin jacket. Wind is very strong in Oz, since it has big, open spaces. Even if the sun shines as brightly as in S'pore, the strong winds will lower any warmth you get from the sun.

Dress in layers. A long-sleeved shirt followed by a sweater and then a thick coat (to keep out the wind) is fine. There won't be snow so you don't need thickly padded clothing. Gloves, earmuffs, scarves and fluffy hats are not needed. Kind of overkill, actually. How you dress and what you bring eventually depend on how well you tahan the cold. (I wore 4 layers on top and 2 below cos I feel cold easily but my DH wore 2 layers on top and 1 below since he likes the cool weather.)

Winter in Goldcoast is not VERY COLD. The sun's ray is very intense. Can get sunburn without feeling the heat. It gets chilly only with strong wind at night. SeaWorld is more suitable with young kids than Dream World, where there are more thrilling rides. You can't really cover much with 7D6N if you are going to spend whole days at Parks. Guided tour to glow worm cave at night is interesting. Includes hotel pick-up, remington cake and a cup of tea.

I'm putting my 4yo boy to:

(1) Art Boot Camp (3 half days) - Art
(2) Act3 (5 days - 2hours each) - Speech & Drama
(3) Children's Tech Workshop - Icamp Kindy (5 days - 1.5hours each)

Going to try the bakerzin baking workshop too...

Thought about singing & dancing at kidsperforming too...

any school holiday camps that you would recommend for 6yrs old and 4yrs old? I am thinking of skate camp (cos i sent the older 1 b4), am not travelling due to the health scare, you never know yea...so camps are good, they learn something....

Er, that's because I'm afraid of the cold mah. And it was my first winter. Plus, I went to Perth which would be colder than Gold Coast in winter. The 4 layers aren't that thick anyway: long-sleeved \"undie top\", long-sleeved shirt (the kind that you can wear in S'pore too), sweater and coat.
