The enrichment classes - this will depend on how deep the parents’ pocket is and how much the child can absorb from the lessons…<br /><br />i believe there are more factors than these 4… please share your   comments and opinions…</p>

All factors are important. <br /><br /><br />So we must try to provide all the factors that are conducive to our children for learning.<br /><br />Good school, good teachers, good food and vitamins for thinking, good loving family with emotional support, good company of friends, good social and extra-cirricular activities, good rest and sleep, good enrichment classes.<br /><br />Well, to do well in work, we need a multitude of skills too, such as people skills, time management, logical skills, etc, all factors would come into play.<br /><br />Nice comments.</p>

Parental support is important, but when parents are too busy working outside, and have no time for their kids, then one needs to engage other help from friends, and also enrichment programs, such as Self motivation programs from Anthony Robbins, etc.<br /><br />Also, we must not forget the enrichment programs from other aspects such as holiday programs, tutoring.<br /><br />Moral support from parents, friends is a very important factor too I think.</p>

I think I belong to the \"kai qiao\" type. I have a cousin who is of the same age. During primary school, she used to  be top of school type and given bursary and awards. My auntie always get invited to school to see her girl go up the stage to get prizes. She once told my mum that the pride of seeing her girl receiving those prizes are just so great. However when she went to sec school, she started to get interested in karoke, results slack. Then for some reasons got into an argument with her school teachers. As she belongs to the strong character type, she refused to apologise and she left school at around Sec 2 or 3. I've not seen her since that time and I heard she is married, doesn't work, stays at home and idle around.<br /><br />I am the opposite. Results is just borderline and was posted to normal stream though I went to a good primary school. No desire or drive at all. Then suddenly in sec 3 I start to kaiqiao. Abit late but better than never. Went on to do my degrees, etc... <br /><br />I fully understand this aspect that alot depends on the child. But being a parent now, I cannot leave it to chances. I will rank family before enrichment only if the family cannot afford enrichment, then they must step in to ensure that the kid has other resources or teach the kid how to look for answers elsewhere (assessment books).<br /><br />2) If the child is lazy, I will rank,<br />\tThe family –&gt; The enrichment –&gt; The child –&gt; The school<br /><br />If the kid is lazy, enrichment can show the family short cuts and spot questions and technique for the kid to learn within half the time.<br /><br />3) If the family is busy working and low income/educational level, and the kid is average, i will rank,<br />             The child –&gt; The school –&gt; the enrichment –&gt; the family<br /><br />4) If the kid is a genius, but not too hardworking, i will rank,<br />             The school –&gt; The family –&gt; The enrichment –&gt; The child<br /><br />now i am getting confused…<br />easy to list factors, but which contributes more depends on situation if your end result is concerned about how to do well in school.</p>
