most important is.... the baby must be born perfect... no defect whatsoever.
This one, I definitely agree...a healthy and perfect child is most important. My first child, a boy was born with cleft lip and palate...although these conditions have been repaired.
When I had my 2nd one, the sonographer asked if I wanted to know the gender. I only asked if the foetus is perfectly formed.

when pregnant, we prayed for healthy kids but we also left it in His hands to decide what HE wanted for us to have. we know whatever HE gave, HE will be there to bless and help.

I know I would get hantam by feminists or anyone who feels it is unfair but boys to me have fewer emotional hang-ups. For girls, I need to be very careful to make sure that she will be emotionally secure. Boys tend to be tougher generally.


But having said that, I would never imagine not having my daughter. Would never want to trade her for a boy. But if I had a choice before I ever had her, maybe I would choose a boy.
