We like Flexa here, like ks2me. The beds, especially, cater to my kids' imaginations. We have the knights and princess themes, complete with slides, play-counters etc. Enormous fun for the kids. Plus points for Flexa furniture: quality (sturdy construction, rounded corners etc) and modular system to grow with kids. Also, I am sensitive to many chemicals so 'safe' furniture is a priority; Flexa fits my requirements with their sturdy solid wood (no compressed/plywood); 'safer' varnish, formaldehyde-free finishes etc.

Minus point: cost! and sometimes a long wait for available stock. Ours are purchased from the U.S. where most pieces are 2 to 2.5 times cheaper, especially with clearance sales. IMO it's a bit overpriced here.
Out of curiousity, how do you ship the items back to Singapore? As the shipping charges are the one that usually kills!

We bought a bed with trundle from Piccolo House in Ubi about 2.5 years ago.
Well, their furniture is not cheap and we thought we were paying for quality.

However shortly after buying there was huge amount of wood dust falling out from the bed. They did respond and came to check, and claim that it was the only problem
Of the bed slate They change it but the problem never ceased.

On and off the wood dust keep coming out. Imagine how creepy it looks.

Again some time ago, I found a small mountain of wood dust on the footboard of the bed. I called them again . They came and claimed that there was nothing wrong with the bed !!

In a separate visit to a bed shop, I was educated by the salesperson that such problems are the cause of not properly handing and drying the wood.

So dear all, beware if you are considering to buy the lovely looking furniture. For me, I just have to write off my$1k!!

Currently, they are sharing a big water bed bought from Fantasy Waterbed. However, my youngest girl is very mischievious & likes to play rought like a BOY! So recently, she have been doing all kind of stunts on the waterbed coz its bouncy & wavy.

Therefore, to avoid any accidents , hubby & me decided to change to three single beds, so they have their own space & the lil one will not disturb the elder sisters during bedtime.

Any suggestions on how or where to find 3 nice single beds that can fit into one room. We can't use bunkbeds coz all the three of them wants the upper deck :roll:

Would appreciate some suggestions.

Anyway, any mummies here with older kids would like to buy over our waterbed? Used for about 3 years & in very good condition. WIll include the delivery & installation too. Its slightly longer than a normal Queen Size bed

For princess room's ideas.... I actually bought those disney furniture before it closed down. In fact, got exactly the same study table at 1/2 price during their closing down sale. Saw a new children furniture place and the furniture looks so nice.... but not cheap.

Ok for decorations. I bought those princess wall decals from amazon. So I have the castle pasted between the 2 beds, fairly big princess decal right at the head of their bed. I also run a princess wall divider sticker across the room to create that look. It was less than $200 but created that look. I also got a princess like bookshelf from Ikea. When the friends came over, they were like wow....

yeah i feel ikea is more economical.. get the basic like bed/wardrobe/tables/lighting then the rest can add in oyr creativity to make it personal and fun.. am doing up my girl's drawings and art work into a big frame.. then hang it in her room.. as for princess theme.. i think i will buy princess wall paper to create this.. still need to get more ideas.. if anyone has already done up ur child's room and dun mind sharing.. will be gooodd.. thanksss

ikea has some reasonably priced furnitures which should last a few years... not too ex so can change deco years down the road when they are older... as for wall decors, better to buy those wall stickers and stickers for furnitures. I allowed my kids to stick their favorite normal stickers last timebutnow hv stains when removed /hard to remove as they're just the usual ones... so perhaps good to invest in thespecialones? 😉
