I love my android, i don't know why the rest like apple.
android has got this location ware profile manager App, where it can set profiles, such as ringer sound level etc based on location.

very useful esp for those working, can auto switch to silent at workplace, quiet at home and very loud at other places etc..

Apple store doesn't have anything even close.. not even time based profile manager.

Apple Apps is not necessary better then android.. and android does have App that iOS doesn't have.

When I was using WM6.5, I used to envy those using Apple.. and as I own an iPad, can't help but felt that iPhone is such a wonderful device, can do so many thing with so many Apps and games..

But ever since I got an android phone.. I realise my phone can do so much more and so much freedom.... it's much better then iPhone.. 😉

that's different from what most people say on the web. Most said that iOS5 has battery drain issue and iOS5.0.1 failed to address the issue.

The current beta in testing is iOS5.1.

The battery drain of my ipad has been ridiculously fast after the update.
Charged to full 100% and still cannot last till night time

that's what people are saying and also why Apple is pushing out another update so soon. there was supposed to be a 5.0.2, but that died during beta testing apparently, as it too failed to address the issue.

Oh, did not know about IOS 5.1, but since you mentioned, i google searched it and found that it is not released to the public yet.

When I first upgraded my iPad2 to to iOS5, I had serious battery drain issues. But after the software update, all is well. You mean to say others still face problems?

It will make a backup of the iDevice, then clear everything, install the new iOS, then restore the Apps/Data back to the iDevice Automatically w/o user intervention…

Somehow, after updating to iSO5, I got difficult Syncing the photo album… always got missing albums… need to try a few times to get the album correctly populate the iPad Device…

But the Sync over WiFi function seems quite convenient… No need messy wires anymore…

that is because the way the iOS5 operate

all the apps you have are now in iCloud after the upgrade to iOS5, so you have to bring it down, that is how i interpret it, after i done mine without any hiccup

some apps are "stuck" in the cloud … you got to instal them again but data are retained

also, when you restore, you have the option to restore it to before back up (with all your settings except pass code which has to reset), or choose to restore as a new phone …

new apps bundled in the iOS5 include ‘reminders’ and ‘video’.

the reminder app is good

Installation did not went so smoothly for me. Initially itunes, complained of not enough diskspace for backup, subsequently, update still failed. It only worked after I did a "factory default", then restore from backup.
