Sometimes the wax build up due to water getting into the ear. Like if you swim a lot, there could be more wax. Suggest to keep ears dry if it’s because water kept getting in unknowingly. Also, is he drinking enough water? Is his lips always dry? Suggest to stay hydrated, as some teens rarely drink plain water.. <br /><br />you could also use the ear digger to gently take some of the wax out, we do that occasionally too. Although it is not recommended.. as Usually ent will suggest dripping Olive oil into it, to soften it and then flush it out. But if it’s already soft and mushy then no need oil it. If not cleared regularly, will lead to bigger blockage and “deafness”.<br /><br /><br />Had to bring DS to ask GP to help flush out once when 7 years old and teacher said he kept ignoring everything that was said in class. After flushing, big improvement. GP prescribed Audiclean ear drops to help soften any large lumps, so that I can remove them myself at home.<br /><br />After softening, I wait 30 min or so &amp; gently remove using this ear digger with inbuilt light. Ear hearing test if required, is $50. No medication. I did mine because my left ear was blocked with the pressure feeling. It just happened when i woke up ine morning. Then follow by flu. However when the flu recovered, the pressure and blockage still there, i cannot hear well and keep having a humming sound. In the end, after suck out the wax, everything is back to normal.</p>

The have ear wax cleaning service using a very thin tube instrument suck out the ear wax. I just did it last week. He recommend do ear wax cleaning once a year or once every two ears. The process is less than 10 mins and painless.</p>
