I never seemed to get it right, which type of barley to buy, how much barley to add. I think my mom was trying to improve my immune system because I was very weak and sickly and would visit the doctor at least once a week. I am asthmatic and my mom would have to carry me to the doctor’s everytime.<br /><br /><br />I never knew young children were not supposed to take cordyceps. Anyway, I don’t give any to my DD cos I don’t think she needs it. And yes, it is not cheap.</p>

Normally I would just pour hot boiling water to rinse it before steeping it in my thermos.  I normally add a little honey rock sugar.<br /><br />I will try to get double deer brand.  Will make some for colleague in the office too.
