I still have problems with the ramps going up. Equally narrow and steep going down, but it's when I drive up that I feel πŸ˜‰ it gets exciting.

no, I don't think you are useless. More like you succumb to that moment's pressure. But now you have made me curious - what were you driving? Really, Ngee Ann City carpark is spacious! Unless of course, if you drive a minibus. Then again, the beam at the engrave would have stopped you from entering.

Those spirals will take a bit of time to get used to but don't let it stop you!

I have ever witnessed a case where a lady driver of a red BMW took more than 15 point turn just so to turn the car around in a car park. My kid was there too and asked what she was doing, not able to understand the scene. I simply told him that she was learning to manoeuvre her car better.

A Land Rover. I could not even, for the life of me, get out of the spot! And I'm very familiar with this size. Yeah, I completely lost it πŸ˜‚

I hardly drive anyway, and only go to a very few places. The places that have horrible car parks are generally the ones served well by public transport.

πŸ˜‚ my worst carpark experience but cant remember the (old) building's name coz went into the wrong lane then guided by the few kind people who were smoking downstairs..around Robinsons Rd near an embassy. I seriously got myself prepared for the car to get scratched when making turns to go up...so many floors some more.

That's what I did when I first came back, MrsKiasu! I went into wrong lanes, looked at the wrong lanes for traffic - other pedestrians must've thought I was a siao char bor! Kept walking to the passenger side to get into the driver's seat! Poor bumper and scratches!

I go to Liang Court's Meidiya quite often. No problem with my 4WD. 🀷


I guess one can park elsewhere instead of Clifford Centre. Raffles Place buildings are interconnected.

I find Shaw and Mandarin Gallery's carpark lots too tight for big vehicles. Those dual carriageway ramps are annoying, e.g. Parkway, OCBC Centre. Some older HDB MSCP are hard to navigate around too, e.g. Kreta Ayer Food Centre MSCP!

Oftentimes, it's the drivers not carparks that are the source of problem. Last term, I encountered 2 lousy female drivers. One had her tyre stuck to the ramp kerb when she was turning down to B2 at Junction 8 carpark.

Another nearly scratched my car when she inched too close to me as she was turning right (I was turning left from the opp direction) in a private housing estate with several stationary cars parallel-parked outside the houses. There was a big space to her left, but dunno why she misjudged her turn and entered into my lane.

On both occasions, the ladies froze at their wheels and didn't dare move their sedans until some Good Samaritans took over their wheels and manoeuvred their cars out of the rut.

I agree - Clifford Ctr sticks out. Shaw Ctr used to make my eyes rolled too. The building has been revamped recently right? Any changes to the car park?

Beauty world plaza: Small, and when fully filled, have to do multiple point turns to get out. Dark.
Katong shopping centre: meant for cars from yesteryears. Many sets of 3 lots between columns, so usually only two cars will manage to park inside each set. Very suitable for Mr Bean type cars.

Orchard Central. The only carpark to give me the giddies less than half way up.


Parkway Parade used to be nightmarish - ever scratched a new S class at a bend and have to :moneyflies: when owner repainted a whole side of car plus change the rims at C&C! Now much much better when they change traffic to one direction. :imcool:
d multi-storey car park opp PP is worse IMO.
Gives d impression whoever designs dat carpark never drives.

Parking in Dempsey not bad.
