I enrolled my child for violin class in junction10 branch (near choa chu kang/bukit panjang) for one term (Jan to Mar), but around mid Feb, the branch closed. At first, they suggest the violin teacher can come to my place to teach, but later they asked me to continue the lessons at the orchard branch, but it was too far from my home. I chose junction 10 because it was close to my residence. I don't have a car and it doesn't make sense to travel all the way to orchard to have violin class and then go home. I requested for refund for the remaining lessons, and they just kept silent about it since then, despite repeated requests. At one point, they told me to send my bank account number to their email, but the email bounced, so I gave my bank account number by whatsapp. Then they went silent again.


Do they simply want to frustrate the parents till the parents give up, so they can pocket the money? It is so unprofessional of them. I am thinking whether to take any legal actions just to claim my money back. Maybe they are also hoping that most local parents may not or think it is not worth taking legal actions just to claim a few hundred dollars, but in my opinion it is not about the amount of money but to give a message that to conduct businesses in this manner is legally and morally wrong.

Any parents having or had similar experiences, pls share. pm me, we can discuss how to take collective action. thank you.

They have a very low retention rate for foreign teachers.


My kid used to go there. Went for exams and yearly concerts. I was pissed off by the boss there, he conducted the mock exam and masterclass using skype. How can you hear things clearly from skype through a notebook and have a good evaluation of my child’s performance? That was really pathetic and unacceptable. I was told that the masterclass will be done by an external teacher and it never happened for my case.

Heard that ang mo kio closed down. Delfi is poorly maintained. Carpets are all dirty, their reception counter looks like a garage, the sound proofing of almost all the music rooms there are almost non existent. Two piano rooms are separated with a thin piece of wood. How can my child focus during lesson time like that specially when there is another music lesson being conducted just right beside it.

There are some handful of good teachers. However, turnover rate is high as i said earlier. Strongly shows how the management treat its staff, hence the high turnover.

I hate talking to their admin. She is disorganized and blur. I talk to her, i always get dose of gossips about the school and having my personal life pried upon. Very kaypoh and unprofessional.

Will definitely not go back and recommend this place.

I was one of them. When so many local teachers left the school, it means something is not quite right isn’t it?

do not patronize that school. Unless you want your child to be influenced with filipino accent, do not enroll your child there. many of the local teachers have left that school for many good reasons.

They were ask to self trained themselves. Hence it is very bad and the children may not learning anything too. Unless parents just want some teachers to play and keep praising the children without improvement

The makeup policy of 4 times seems fine.

Someone was telling me that mandeville, Kawaii and a few other school
do not allow for makeup at all. Don’t know how true.

Although My child’s school allows for 4 times plus MC.
